Corporate Social Commitments: Empowerment Focus

Annually Memela Pratt & Associates selects a charity to sponsor over the festive season and during the year. We brand and market the charity to raise the awareness of its purpose and send that to our client base. We aim to enhance the charity's prospects for financial sponsorship, we visit and make a financial contribution to these organisations. Since launch we have supported the following non profit organisations:

Nelson Mandela Day - 67 minutes for Madiba in Kagiso (2011)

Randburg Resource Centre for Girls (2009)
Less fortunate neighbours in the rural Maxixe region of Mozambique (2008)

City Year: Helping Young People and Children Succeed - 16 September 2011

Memela Pratt & Associates were invited to give a motivational talk to City Year, a non profit organisation that brings together a diverse group of young people for a year of voluntary service and leadership development. Our Head of Research and Operations, Carlene Royle, and our Team Leader, Tuki Modiselle, presented the talk. They gave the City year youth leaders tips and guidance on how to add value to ones CV as well as how to prepare for future job interviews. The youth were encouraged to believe, to have hope and to persevere. There were many salient points and questions raised, and hopefully these will assist the youth in successfully securing future employment opportunities.

Bold Moves supported by Memela Pratt & Associates, financially and actively, was part of this inspirational day - influential Gauteng Business women participated in Mandela Day social upliftment activities in Kagiso. Through the Department of Health and Social Development regional office, the following NGOs selected 100 beneficiaries to receive donations:
